Wow it feels like yesterday since I checked in, where does the time go?
I cannot believe it is September already, time flies when you are having fun and I am writing this week’s blog after having rather a lot of fun resulting in a bit of a hangover after a weekend of frivolities on one of my close friend’s hen weekends. I cannot provide any information as to what antics we got up to as the tour rules applies but I am feeling pretty shabby and ready to get back to my MC&L living.
So, the last 2 weeks have been as hectic as ever and I’d like to say I have been keeping MC&L but unfortunately I have struggled to maintain this fully and as a result of this I feel RUBBISH. I have not felt fully in control and things have slipped a little due to work commitments, client and team entertaining but these things happen from time to time and now I need to refocus and get in the zone so I was pleased to see that there is a new Autumn plan which I will look to join in the next few weeks and wish all those who have signed up for this week good luck.
When I say I feel rubbish I think partly this is due to the copious bottles of wine and shots I have had over the last couple of days (Why is it that we opt to have shots when already had far too much to drink? It’s not something any of us would do stone cold sober) but since the Bank Holiday weekend I have had Chris’ nieces down to stay for a few days and so I bought lots of nice treats. Having these in the house has proved to be too tempting and so last week I sent Chris off to work with a bag full of goodies for his workmates, not sure the builders were overly impressed with jelly beans and dolly mixture but think the biccies went down well!
On the whole I have managed to eat clean up until Friday but I have not fasted all week or tried any new recipes recently which is something I like to do. Must try harder. I haven’t been able to get to the gym as much as I would like as I have been up to Newcastle on business and out with clients for dinner and then this weekend was the Hen weekend, I did a few planks and squats but not sure it counts after a few bottles of wine??
I have had a fun filled couple of weeks but there are certain things that I have noticed now when not fully in MCL mode and that is I do not seem to sleep as well particularly if I have had a drink or 2 (!) and my tummy is not overly impressed if I eat bread or anything with saturated fat… I won’t go into details but you probably get the idea. I would like to apologise to my hen weekend roomie too haha!
There were a few girls on the weekend that I haven’t seen for a few years and so it is always good to get compliments about how well I look and it is always good to spread the MC&L word, we have a wedding in 3 weeks and so I think they may even join me on a plan to shift a few pounds and tone up to get into our outfits.
On that note I will sign off and say it’s been a blast but now it is time to reign it in as I want to look good in my new dress for the wedding which is a little bit tighter than dresses I would have opted for previously. Jo Parry has also involved me in a 30 day squat challenge so with this and the 10 minute workouts and food plan I feel positive and ready… and to be honest I can’t cope with these hangovers anymore… but I doubt I will ever learn :)
Have a good couple of weeks and hopefully when I check in next I will be half way to having buns of steel!!
